left me thinking...

This week I am thinking about how I will connect these objects to the body. It is really important that I do not disrupt the object by placing a pin stem on it. I am trying to figure out a toggle like system with a hook at it's end to hang these object on. The hook would be the only part of the toggle system that would shown the rest would be on the inside of your shirt.

For writings i will be doing a process-based essay, explaining my devotion (not obsessive behavior) needed in order to make these objects.

I have drilled out 4 new sheets already and am looking at creating four new forms. I am trying to see if I can connect two forms together and make it look like it came from one.

I am also thinking about other reductive processes which could help make a wider aesthetic range for my objects.

  1. Lauren, you are absolutely right that the silver/steel pin stem would disrupt the delicacy/ cohesiveness of the form. A hook has it's own strong connotations as well-Were you thinking an invisible connection that might dissapear or a visible hook that functions as such?
